The objective of this workshop is to introduce parish members interested in engaging in strategic planning at their own or other parishes as a facilitator or as a participant. Focus will be on the process and fundamental steps involved in strategic planning by parishes with an emphasis on the application of tools and techniques through use of a case study which will be provided to participants in advance.

 If you choose to attend this workshop you will experience:

• A presentation providing an overview of strategic planning with small group exercises centered on developing a strategic focus, common goals and objectives and plan implementation.
  
  
• A discussion of when to engage in strategic planning, the contents of a strategic plan, how to conduct an environmental assessment and an analysis of strengths, vulnerabilities, challenges and opportunities that inform the strategic focus of the strategic plan.
