Dr. Dale Rosenbach

Morning clinic – Atraumatic Exodontia: Principles, Concepts & Techniques

The recent paradigm shift has been to place implants soon after tooth extraction. Along with this comes the challenge of maintaining the soft and hard tissues of the alveolar ridge as best as one can.  When this is not possible, ridge augmentation may be indicated.

This course will inform the clinician about the decision making process relative to designing a flap for surgical extraction, as well as some concepts related to gentle tooth extraction and the treatment planning of immediate implants.

Afternoon clinic -  Critical Considerations for Anterior Immediate Implants

In attempting to avoid the healing delay of an extraction socket prior to placing a dental implant when indicated, many clinicians either perform or request immediate implant placement, which consists of surgically placing an implant into an extraction socket.

This course will inform the clinician about anterior immediate implant dentistry and review both the potential benefits and drawbacks of the procedure.

Dr. Dale Rosenbach received his undergraduate degree in biology from Yeshiva University and his dental degree from New Jersey Dental School. After completing a one year general practice residency at Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, he attended Columbia University for his postdoctoral training in periodontics and implant dentistry, completing a master’s degree focusing on the effects of abutment dis/reconnection on initial peri-implant bone loss.

Dr. Rosenbach is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and is currently a clinical attending and course director of the periodontics & implant dentistry lecture series at the GPR at Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He has authored numerous articles that have been accepted for publication by Dentaltown Magazine, Dental Products Report and Dentistry Today. He also serves as the head of project for WikiProject Dentistry on Wikipedia.
