The presentation will provide attendees with information and resources that will equip and empower you to make informed workplace decisions regarding HR requirements and best practices. Key topics that will be presented will be; Wage Requirements, Personnel Files, Handbooks, Job Descriptions, Required leave, Vacations, Holidays, Earned Sick Time Regulation and the Affordable Care Act.

The presentation will also include Social Media Policies. Key areas of the presentation will include employer rights and responsibilities regarding Social Media, the changing role of the employer and employee in this environment as well as the negative and positive impacts.

With over 25+ years of experience in diverse business environments, Julie Carroll joined Total HR Solutions in December 2014 shortly after it was acquired from a previous owner. She has taken on the position of Director of HR & Business Development and has since then managed, trained & developed a dedicated team of HR professionals. Prior to working at Total HR Solutions, Julie worked as a Director of Operations & Human Resources Manager for a local Investment Company for over 13 years as well as a Director of Client & HR Business Development at a local HR company for 3. In addition to her HR history, Julie also has gained knowledge & expertise in Small Business Operations as she had once owned and managed several of her own small businesses.

 Julie specializes in HR implementation, Small Business Operations, Employer & Employee Regulations, Compliance and more. Julie is a certified member with SHRM, Society for Human Resource Management and obtains a portfolio of successful achievements in risk management, employee relations, training and development, small business operations management and speaking engagements.
