  A SCORE seminar

Selling Techniques for Small Businesses

You may have heard the saying "Business doesn’t happen until something gets sold."  That's true, of course but nearly every aspect of any career involves selling.  And whether you’re a sales professional or a machine operator, it never hurts to brush up on your sales skills.

This SCORE seminar will be presented by Bill Ruttledge & Marcel Goulet.  Both officers of SCORE Vancouver, their combined careers cover nearly 80 years in commercial insurance brokerage, financial services and public entity management.  In each case, their daily work has always touched on the need for solid sales skills.

So if your knees knock at the prospect of making sales calls and you have potential clients you need to see, spend a few hours with us.  You’ll learn how to get the appointment, make a plan for your sales call and how to avoid the deadly mistakes salesmen often make.  We’ll also talk about using a SWOT analysis of you and your competitors and how to optimize leads.  Discover also why objections can be your best friend and gain some proven closing techniques.

This seminar is free with thanks to a generous donation from the Friends of the Longview Library.  All seminar attendees may later receive free, confidential SCORE mentoring to help you personalize your Sales process.
