Culinary Guild Opening Meeting
Join us for our annual Opening Meeting on Monday, September 18th from 6:30-8:30pm. Our speaker is Sasha Pupura, Executive Director of Food For Free (www.foodforfree.org), a Cambridge-based organization which seeks to reduce food waste while guaranteeing access to fresh produce and healthy meals for emergency food programs and individuals in need. Sasha will be speaking about food waste and recovering wasted food.
Their Produce Rescue program prioritizes fresh fruits and vegetables, ensuring that they address not only hunger, but also nutrition, obesity, and diet-related disease. Food For Free's Prepared Food Rescue program captures nutritious, healthy prepared foods, supplementing the work of Produce Rescue by reaching those that lack the space or ability to cook their own meals.
The Opening Meeting will be held at the Weston Community Center (20 Alphabet Lane, Weston MA) from 6:30-8:30pm.
Culinary Guild members, future members, friends, and family are invited to join us for this wonderful evening.
The cost to attend this event is $20/person (price includes food, wine, and a raffle ticket). Open to 70 guests, this popular event is sure to sell out! Be sure to reserve your spot by Friday, September 15th.
