For over 40 years the Boulder Mountain Fire Protection District Auxiliary has sponsored Boulder Mountain Handmade Market to raise funds for our fire district. Funds from the event provide equipment, training, and provisions for our volunteer fire fighters. We hope you'll consider participating –  and share this information with other artisans you know.

Our Market is well-known for its focus on handmade and original items created by visual artists, crafters, photographers, potters, jewelers, and fiber artists, as well as specialty food and beverage makers from across the foothills area. This year's event will be held at the Elks Lodge on 28th Street, one of Boulder's largest in-town event spaces.

We invite area guilds, studios, and art organizations to join us by reserving a space for their members to exhibit their work.

Boulder Mountain Handmade Market features...

  • A variety of booth space choices with special group pricing…we have 8' x 8' spaces, 8' x 10' spaces, and 10' x 10' spaces available. Groups are able to purchase 2 spaces for the price of 1!
  • Ample parking…the Elks Lodge provides easy customer access to our market and provides plenty of free parking for the event.
  • Area-wide marketing...we use a marketing professional to bring a diverse group of customers from the region. Our artists and groups participate in marketing using materials provided by us or created themselves.
  • Promotion of artists before and after the market...our website and Facebook page feature your group's work and link to your own website. The booth is a great way to promote classes and activities sponsored by your group and generate additional income for your members.
  • Creative displays…you and your participating members bring your own fixtures for display to be as creative as you like in showcasing your work. You decide how many members can exhibit in your space.
  • Minimal fees...your team keeps 100% of your revenue during the market…the booth fee is the only charge and helps raise funds for firefighters of the Boulder Mountain Fire Protection District. Guild spaces are 2 for the price of 1: $300, $360, or $405, depending on the size booth selected. Your team cashiers your own sales.
  • On-site access to artists...at least one person from your group will need to be present for the duration of the sale, so customers can interact with a representative of your organization. You can use the exhibit space to market classes and other events that your studio offers.
  • Soley handmade items...photography, crafts, and artwork at the Market is all original. We welcome vendors with craft foods and non-alcoholic beverages, like jams, candies, and tea.
