Fall 2017 Student Classes

We have classes for students in Kindergarten to 11th grade

Reading Club for New and Emerging Readers!

This class is designed for students in kindergarten and first grade.

Success in school starts with reading.  Learning to read is hard work for children. Fortunately, research is now available that suggests how to give each child a good start in reading. Join us for a once per week, hour long class for students and a parent/guardian or trusted caregiver.

Classes run from 4:30-5:30pm and are held at St. Luke's Espiscopal Church, 1884 22nd Street NW, Rochester.

First Grade Group meets Mondays: Oct. 2, 9, 16, Nov. 6, 13, 20

Kindergarten Group meets Wednesdays: Oct. 4, 11, 18, Nov. 1, 8, 15

Tuition of $150 covers the class for both parent/guardian and child.  If Rochester Public Schools is canceled for bad weather, Reading Club is automatically canceled, too.  We will have make up days at the end of session if there are weather related closures.

Then, using the writing process, they will refine their pieces, applying grammar to their composition with specific nouns, vivid verbs and helpful descriptors.
