PRE-LEADERSHIP SUMMIT CONFERENCE
New York Child Care Works provided by Child Care Aware of America ~ Training

Day 1 & 2: Tuesday, September 12th &  Wednesday, September 13th, 2017

Purpose:

1) To engage, educate and inspire CCR&R Emerging Leaders and to become committed, effective advocates for quality child care on behalf of children, families, child care professionals and communities; and
2) To hone the advocacy skills of Seasoned Leaders and to motivate them to welcome, mentor and support the Emerging Leaders in their collective advocacy efforts moving forward
3) To unify the NY CCR&R system in both message and advocacy in action

Structure:

The 1 1/2 day training will serve as a pre-conference event to the Early Care and Learning Council's (ECLC) annual Leadership Summit (September 13th & 14th, 2017).   

PRE-CONFERENCE:

Day 1: Tuesday, September 12th
Location: ECLC, Lunch included
This will be a 6-hour session (11:00 am – 5:00 pm) focused on an advocacy “Reset, Refresh & Back to Basics” with an emphasis on Emerging Leaders.  Each topical session will include information shared by the Child Care Works (CCW) team as well as open group discussion coupled with interactive small group role-playing & creative engagement of the participants.

Building Effective Advocates: Understanding the Basics, Raising New Voices, Leveraging the Traditional media and Engaging Today's Generation

Day 2: Wednesday, September 13th  
Location: The Century House, Breakfast included
This
will be a 3-hour morning session (8:30 am - 11:45 am) for all CCR&R staff who are (or want to be) at the forefront of child care and CCR&R advocacy efforts in New York.  The full ECLC Leadership Summit will begin with Lunch at 12:00 noon.

Advocacy in Action: Unifying the CCR&R Voice, Messaging Strategies that Support CCR&R, Speaking with Passion and Defending with Data, Partnering for Success, Creating an Advocacy Roadmap

All meals will be buffet style, as such, no meal selection is required from you at this time.

Each attendee must submit a separate registration. Registration fees are NOT refundable. In the event you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another person at any time prior to the event.
