September Luncheon:

“Retail Trends Panel Discussion”

Join us for a panel discussion on retail trends in Indianapolis and across the country and the impact these trends have on our local economy.  The panel will focus on how online shopping is affecting bricks and sticks stores, as well as how walkability and mixed use is impacting retail RE planning.  Our moderator will be Donna Hovey (Tonn & Blank Construction) with panelists to include, Jacqueline Haynes (Cushman & Wakefield), Jennifer Jones (Washington Prime), and Connie Niessink (Niessink Commercial).

Jacque Haynes brings 28 years of private and corporate real estate experience to Cushman & Wakefield.  Specializing in landlord/investor representation, she creates value for her clients through a comprehensive understanding of development, leasing, asset management and acquisition and disposition of shopping centers. By utilizing the Cushman & Wakefield platform, CCIM, ICSC and local networks, Jacque has the tools and market knowledge to successfully position retail assets to meet her clients’ economic requirements.

Connie Niessink has been in the commercial real estate business working as a retail broker for almost 30 years. She formed Niessink Commercial in 2002 with her husband and business partner, Tom. The company’s primary focus is representing national retailers in their site selection throughout Indiana and Kentucky. She is a founding member of The X-Team, a select group of retail brokerage offices in major US markets and Canada who share quality insight, retailer information and relationships. Niessink Commercial’s clients include: TJ Maxx/Marshalls/Home Goods/Sierra Trading Post, Panera Bread, Party City, Qdoba, Kroger, Jack in the Box, Arby’s, Great Clips, Fidelity Investments, Half Price Books, Pepperjax Grill, Half Price Books and Toys/Babies R Us. Connie is a proud graduate of Purdue University. She’s also an avid sports fan and a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Zionsville.

Jennifer Jones joined the Clay Terrace staff as the General Manager in March 2013.  Previously, Jennifer worked as a Director of Marketing and Business Development for Simon Property Group since 2001 with positions at Lafayette Square Mall and Circle Centre. In August 2014, Jennifer assumed the Area General Manager role for Village Park Plaza and added Keystone Shoppes, Greenwood Plus, and Washington Plaza in January 2016 with Washington Prime Group.  Jennifer is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, OH.  Jennifer lives in Carmel, IN with her two children, Ellie and Andrew.
