Please join us for the Nebraska Section of ASCE's September Section meeting on Thursday, September 14, 2017.

Hosted by the Nebraska Section Structural Technical Group, the Structural Engineers Association of Nebraska (SEAoN), and The Annual Structural Conference.

Topic: “Efficient Steel Design on Your Project” We will discuss the different ways the project team members can work together, throughout the life of a project, to provide the most cost effective and schedule conscious steel solution for a project.

Derrick Fitton, P.E.
Director of Structural Operations, Drake-Williams Steel  

Derrick Fitton has spent his entire career in positions related to the structural steel industry.  After graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with his Civil Engineering Bachelor’s Degree, he spent about five years working for consulting engineering firms Bibb & Associates, Kansas City and Leo A Daly, Omaha.

In 2005, Derrick transitioned over to Drake-Williams Steel, a local structural steel fabricator.  He has been with Drake Williams Steel for the last twelve years and currently holds the position of Director of Structural Operations.  Derrick now oversees all the fabrication/production, engineering, safety, and quality related functions of the Structural Division in Omaha. 

Derrick currently serves on the Structural Engineers Association of Nebraska (SEAoN) Programs and Meetings Committee and is participating in the City of Omaha Chamber’s Manufacturers Council.

  • Ponzu Salmon ~ Hand-cut Atlantic salmon, sticky rice, stir-fried vegetables, Ponzu sauce.
  • Cajun Pasta ~ Andouille sausage, chicken, tomatoes, onions, peppers, penne pasta, creamy Cajun sauce, served with Parmesan Italian bread.


ASCE/SEAoN Members $15. Guests $20 (Including tax and gratuity). $10 without a meal. Life Members and Students are FREE... but everyone must register.
