Join us for a lunch and learn with three featured Ohio State alumni who will discuss their move to DC after Ohio State and start of their professional careers. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions in an informal setting and make connections with alumni. Lunch provided!

Jake Bradley, '14

 

Jacob currently serves as a Legislative Analyst at Alion Science & Technology in DC, supporting the Department of the Navy, Team Submarine. Prior to Alion, Jake taught 7th grade in North Carolina through Teach for America. He got his start in Washington as a John Glenn Fellow through WAIP, interning for Congressman Gibbs on Capitol Hill. At Ohio State he majored in Public Affairs and Geography, was a Mount Leadership Scholar, Presidential Host and head of Block O.

Susan Manchester, '10

 

Susan currently serves as the Community Outreach Director at Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Central Ohio, and is running for State Representative in Ohio’s 84th District. Susan returned to Ohio after spending almost five years working on Capitol Hill. She also received her master’s in political management from George Washington University while living in DC. At Ohio State, she majored in Psychology and Political Science, participated in WAIP and was an active member of Campus Crusade for Christ.

Sarah Montell, '15

Sarah serves as the Outreach Coordinator for Friends of Sherrod Brown. After graduating, she moved to DC to work as the Special Assistant to the Director for Presidential Personnel at the White House during the Obama Administration. An alumna of WAIP, she interned in the Office of First Lady Michelle Obama during her DC semester, autumn semester 2014. At Ohio State she majored in Public Affairs and minored in international affairs and public health.
