11-2-17 Diving Deeper Into Guided Reading- No Fee for Member Districts- $35 for Non Member Districts

Target Audience: General Education or Special Education Teachers (K-5) previously trained in Guided Reading 101

Description:  

This session is for teachers previously trained in Jan Richardson’s Next Steps Forward in Guided Reading (Guided Reading 101).  Participants will need to bring: 
  1.   “Next Step Forward in Guided Reading” or “The Next Steps in Guided Reading” text.  It will be used throughout the training.   

  1. Student data ( running records, anecdotal notes, reading levels, processing strategies) 

In this session, participants will dive deeper into lesson components and have opportunities to practice procedures outlined in the Jan Plan.  Content covered will include information from the Literacy Footprints Summer Institute. Videos, manipulatives and application to the classroom will be explored.

GUESTS/UNREGISTERED POLICY

At CKSEC, we love kids and families! Unfortunately, due to liability issues and professional decorum, children and other family members or friends are not permitted to attend our trainings.

Please get permission from CKEC prior to video or audio recording a portion or all of a CKEC session. 

Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.

Attendance Policy:

If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.

Districts will be notified of those who registered and did not attend or did not cancel prior to be session.
