Have a Spook-tacular Night at miSci!

Explore the museum with a spell-binding scavenger hunt; become a mad scientist exploring artificial intelligence, synthetic biology, and robotics; learn about the things that go bump in the night in the planetarium; and gasp at the mystical properties of dry ice. 

Join miSci for a monstrous Halloween Camp-In. Be mesmerized by dry ice, go on a spooky scavenger hunt, visit the planetarium, and explore artificial technology, synthetic biology, and robotics. 

Dinner and Breakfast included. Space is limited, register today! Children must be accompanied by adults.

Some things to remember:

  • Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times
  • Please have students use the restroom before the planetarium show begins.
  • The museum gift shop will close at 8 PM
  • The museum doors are locked at 8 PMpm. Please have all items in the museum by this time. If you must leave the museum after 8 PM please ring the doorbell.

What to bring to a miSci camp in:

  • Changes of clothing: sleep wear, next day change of clothes
  • Sleeping materials eg Sleeping bag, blanket, pillow, bed roll, air mattress
  • Toiletries
  • Proper shoes for exploring the museum
  • Spending money for the hurricane machine ($2 each run)
  • Spending money for the gift shop
  • Optional: flashlight, camera 
  • Any special dietary foods needed for your child (that does not need refrigeration)

Please mark your bags with your child’s name. The temperature may vary inside miSci from area to area. We recommend bringing a sweatshirt/ and or sweatpants for sleeping just in case. 

Lights out: 

There will be some lighting on in all sleeping areas, it will not be completely dark. There will be enough light to get to the bathrooms at any time. 

Food:

Dinner and breakfast will be served to all children and adults. Pizza and salad will be offered for dinner, as well as drinks. Croutons and cheese will be served on the side of the salad. Breakfast will include cereal as well as coffee for adults. 1%, 2%, and a milk alternative such as Almond Milk.
