Electrophoresis Make and Take

Come and experience how electrophoresis can be used to address CA NGSS Performance Expectations and make a class set of equipment that will allow you to continue this activity in your classroom for years to come!  This make and take workshop will begin with participants experiencing how the lesson can unfold based upon viewing an engaging phenomenon.  Once observed, participants will model what they think is happening.  Over time, they will plan and execute an experiment, develop a scientific explanation that includes claim, evidence and reasoning.  Then they will put together their own kit that will serve a class of 35 with students working in pairs.  The kit produced can be used in the years to come for class activities and student projects.  We hope to see you there.  Space is limited and this is a first come first serve.

Workshop fee of $210.00 includes all materials, continental breakfast and lunch.

Breakfast and sign-in are at 7:30am and the workshop with promply begin at 8:00am.

Cancellations:  If not paying by credit card, your check or journal payment must be sent at least 10-days prior to the workshop or event.  If the workshop or event is cancelled by SJCOE, participants will be notified and will obtain a full refundNo refunds or credit will be given to participants.
