The Office of Divine Worship is pleased to present our annual Fall Liturgy Workshop, this year focused on the Order of Christian Funerals, Thursday, October 12, 2017, 9 - 3pm, at the Rock Garden Conference Center, Green Bay.
This workshop will provide clergy, pastoral leaders, liturgists, pastoral musicians, worship committees, and parish staff/volunteers the opportunity to break-open the funeral rites of the Church, approach the rites with new focus and understanding, and recognize best practices to prepare for them as disciples of our Risen Lord with their parish communities and those who mourn.

Tentative Schedule:
- 8:00 - 9:00am: Check-In & Coffee
- 9:00am: Morning Prayer (Office for the Dead in Memoriam of Bp. Wycislo) & Welcome
- 9:30 – 10:00am: Session I: The Theology and Spirituality of the Order of Christian Funerals
- 10:15 – 11:30am: Session II: Death & Vigil Rites
- 11:30am – 12:15pm: Lunch
- 12:15 - 1:15pm: Session III: The Funeral Liturgy
- 1:30 – 2:30pm: Session IV: The Rite of Committal
- 2:30 - 3pm: Diocesan Considerations & Office of Divine Worship Updates
- 3:00pm: Closing Prayer & Dismissal
Participants are asked to bring along a copy of the Order of Christian Funerals (with Cremation Rite). Copies of the book are available for purchase at Amazon, Catholic Book Publishing, Liturgical Press, and your local Catholic bookstore.
