On December 26, 2014, the new Education Department General Administrative Regulations (EDGAR) went into effect and incorporated the requirements of the Uniform Grants Guidance (2 CFR Part 200). This presentation will highlight the important changes to the UGG and EDGAR, as well as recent U.S. Department of Education interpretations and policies. All recipients of federal grant dollars must comply with these rules to avoid audit exposure.

Topics include:

  • Financial management
  • Equipment and inventory management
  • Internal controls, procurement
  • Allowability
  • Time and Effort Documentation
  • Monitoring and pass-through agency responsibilities
  • Direct and indirect cost charging
  • Audits

Each attendee will receive a copy of The Administrator's Handbook on EDGAR.  This new edition includes specific regulatory sections of EDGAR, other regulations and guidance aligned with federal grants management.

The presenter at this workshop will be Bonnie Little Graham, partner at Brustein & Manasevit, PLLC, a nationally recognized law firm specializing in federal grants management.

Administrators, program managers, finance and business officials responsible for federal grants are encouraged to attend this timely and important workshop on federal grants management.

The cost of this workshop is $185 and includes the EDGAR book referenced above.

***The training will be held in the Rose Hills Auditorium at the Doheny Campus in Downtown***
