Goldwater and REU Information Sessions Fall 2017

The Barry Goldwater Scholarship is a highly competitive, merit-based award for outstanding students in Mathematics, the Natural Sciences, and Engineering who are interested in pursuing a career in research. Sophomores and Juniors who have excellent academic records (a GPA of at least 3.7 and outstanding letters of recommendation) and a demonstrated interest in a potential for careers in these felds are invited to apply. SDSU can nominate up to 4 students each year. The core of the Goldwater application is the presentation of a compelling research project, clearly and concisely communicated to fellow scientists in two pages. This requires faculty input and multiple revisions.

Along with the Goldwater Scholarship, learn more about REU (research experience for undergraduates) opportunities here!

This workshop is open to all College of Engineering and Sciences majors as well as students pursuing PhD and/or interested in funded summer research opportunities.
