VITA Workshop One 

The combination of Basic Workshop One and Two will cover the information necessary for a volunteer to pass the IRS certification test at the Basic level. Volunteers will receive reference materials and the test/retest at the Workshop along with information about VITA sites. All certification tests are open book; the focus not on memorization but to learn how to use the reference materials.

The Basic Workshops are recommended for all first-time VITA Volunteers. Once completed, first time volunteers are encouraged to attend the Advance Workshop. One does NOT need to certify at Basic before certifying at the Advance level.

Basic Workshop One is the first of a two-part series. Please be sure to register for Basic Workshop Two. During Workshop Two, we will prepare a sample tax return on screen. Feel free to bring your laptop if you'd like to follow along.
