Please join Upstate International's World Affairs Council Upstate and the Korean Economic Institute as we present The Future of Korea. Come broaden and deepen your understanding of Korea and the U.S.- Korean relationship with an engaging panel discussion among experts, and enjoy a catered buffet dinner, Q&A's and plenty of time for networking.

The Korean Embassy will be represented by Counselor Choi Jin Won.  Mr. Choi has held a number of important positions in South Korea including: First Secretary of the Korean Permanent Mission to the UN Secretariat and the International Organizations in Geneva, Director of the Free Trade Agreement Trade Rules division, Director of Free Trade Agreement Policy Plannng Divison and many others.  For more information about Mr. Choi please click here.

Mr. Kyle Ferrier will represent the Korean Economic Institute.  Mr. Ferrier joined KEI as the Director of Academic Affairs and Research in 2015, where he manages KEI's outreach efforts to foster a relationship between the academic and policy communities.  For more information about Mr. Ferrier please click here.

The representative from the U.S. State Department will be Joshua Pierce, Economic Officer, Office of Korean Affairs. Mr. Pierce has been detailed twice to the Office of the United States Trade Representative in the Executive Office of the President and workedfor more than a decade to solve bilateral trade disputes with the Republic of Korea.
