40-Hour HAZWOPER

SES is offering a 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergencty Response (HAZWOPER) class October 23-27, 2017 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

This class is taken 1) by individuals  working in construction where unknown hazardous materials may be present; 2) by employees with hazardous material packaging/labeling/shipping/storage responsibilites; or 3) by EHS managers who want to gain a better understanding of hazardous waste operations in order to apply principles to facility response plans, etc.

Class topics will include:

• Hazard and risk assessment
• OSHA HAZWOPER regulations review
• Emergency response plan implementation
• Chemical and toxicological terminology and behavior
• Monitoring instrumentation
• Confined space awareness
• Safety data sheet (SDS) interpretation/use
• Incident command system
• PPE selection
• Donning/Doffing procedures
• Medical surveillance requirements
• Mitigation techniques - containment/confinement
• Decontamination
• Termination procedures
• Hands-on exercise

The class will be held at the SES Training Center: 3807 Transportation Drive, Fort Wayne, Indiana from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. each day.The cost of the class is $650.00 per person or $600.00 per person for companies registering 3 or more attendees (includes lunch each day).

The 40-Hour class is limited to 10 students.  Please forward this invitation to your collegues if they can benefit from this class.  Registration closes Monday, October 16, 2017.  A minimum of 5 attendees are required to conduct this class.
