Public Speaking - Take a Deep Breath 

Knowing how to verbally communicate clearly, concisely, and confidently to a diverse audience – employees, customers, vendors, stakeholders, investors, etc. – can exponentially impact a business owner’s bottom line and personal relationships. The goal of the workshop is to help entrepreneurs speak clearly, concisely, and confidently to affect change in their business and personal lives. In this workshop you can expect the following:

-        Steps to communicating CLEARLY.  Methods to ensure the message is not lost in articulation.

-        How to CONCISELY express thoughts and ideas.  Less is sometimes more.

-        Tips to communicating CONFIDENTLY.  Take a deep breath, smile, and speak!

 

 It will be a live seminar.  It will be interactive with role playing and demonstrations [video and live].  It is meant to be educational, engaging, and enlightening in a judgment-free zone!

Shelia Cook is an entrepreneur and SCORE mentor.  In her past lives she’s been an auditor, trainer, warehouse supervisor, Naval officer, waitress, cashier, tutor, accountant, board member and more!  Though diverse, each role required exceptional communication skills, especially verbal.  For over 30 years, Shelia has practiced, sharpened, and shared her public speaking skills in numerous settings – professionally and personally.   Enthusiastic and engaging Toastmasters International member for over 10 years; Corporate Field Trainer for 2 years; Conducted budget and internal controls training for a non-profit organization; Conducted public speaking training for a Government agency; Keynote speaker for a private college prep school.
