9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Heart-Centered Teaching

Heart-Centered Teaching begins with an appreciation for the wonders of the world, the people around us and ourselves. It honors individual gifts and helps children learn authentically. Discover a set of “tools” for cultivating a more joyful approach to teaching.

1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Developing Observation Skills

Discover new methods to observe, record and assess children’s learning with nature. Explore ways to effectively “listen” to children’s visual-spatial language, support behavioral challenges and document work in outdoor classrooms.
