Pump and Cyclone Calculations to
Maximize Grinding Circuit Performance

Who Should Attend: Plant metallurgists, circuit designers, equipment suppliers, process improvement and energy saving personnel. 

Description: This course covers process application calculations for slurry pumps and hydrocylones  to maximize grinding circuit efficiency and significantly reduce operating cost . As described in September, 2014, Mining Engineering , "Plant Performance Improvements Using Grinding 'Circuit Classification System Efficiency' ", the measurable benefits in terms of energy and cost reduction are often very substantial. Increased throughput and improved recovery can also be achieved.

Instructor: Dr. Robert E. McIvor, Chief Metallurgist – Grinding Systems, Metcom Technologies. Metcom founder and renowned expert in design and optimization of mineral grinding circuits.

Where: The University of Mines and Technology - Tarkwa, Ghana

 When: October 18th-19th, 2017 (two full days) 

Language of Instruction: English (French print materials are available upon request)

Materials: Participants will receive slide presentations and Metcom training modules nos. 5, 7, 8, 9 and 18. Participants should bring their laptop and a hand-held calculator.

Accreditation: Course diploma and CEUs  provided by The Engineering Institute of Canada.
