Portrait Painting with Megan Euell

The Portrait is a fascinating study and practice in art. Approaching the portrait first through drawing, will give great visual understanding to the depth you can go with the same subject in painting. The series is meant to be an entry into the fundamentals of the key elements in portraiture: composition, line, value, temperature, color, texture.

This workshop series is meant to give you back to back weekends of intense instruction in getting the relationships necessary for a successful likeness of your subject, through 3 days of Drawing, and then transferring that information into a Painting.  Our instructor, Megan Euell is highly trained in this method and participants will be given a step by step method for approaching The Portrait.

We encourage you to take advantage of both workshops, as the information given in the drawing course will provide an access point to the painting course, by which the value is uncompromised.
