Preconference Sessions - Please note that preconference sessions have limited space, and you can only choose one. Given the space limitations, participants will be signed up on a first-come first-served basis for those how register.

While women, generally, have made significant inroads at all levels of academic careers, women still face challenges compared to their male counterparts. These challenges may span across a variety of academic roles, such as teaching, research, and service; however, speaking specifically to research, women tend to experience lower levels of research self-efficacy. The questioning of one's ability in research and scholarship may be due to internal voices, a sense of feeling like an imposter, training experiences, and/or the intersectionality of identities women bring into their careers and more specifically the research identity. The goal of this workshop is to hear other women's stories, which include a blend of success and struggle; while individually laying a foundation and action plan for moving forward as a researcher in your career.
