Advocating for Breathable Neighborhoods

Are you concerned about air quality in your neighborhood? Come join Neighbors for Clean Air and EPA for an evening of community based-learning on how to advocate for your right to breathe clean air. Food, childcare, and translation services will be provided.

About

An evening workshop to build community capacity to advocate for clean air.

Our focus is to make air quality advocacy accessible to impacted communities, and to get community members prepared to comment on the draft rules

The goal is to build expertise and capacity to advocate for health based air quality standards in Oregon, especially for marginalized communities most impacted by air pollution.

When: Tuesday, October 3, 2017 | 5:30 PM to 9 PM
Where: Native American Youth and Family Center  | 5135 NE Columbia Blvd.
Who: Community members interested in better air quality in their neighborhoods

Event Sponsors

This workshop is a joint work effort of Neighbors for Clean Air (NCA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
There will also be information presented by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ) and the Oregon Health Authority (OHA).  The proposed attendees are community members and local advocacy groups.
