WHSR Launches

Coast Guard Industry Academy 2017

Thank your for your interest in the 2017 Coast Guard Industry Academy

The Washington Homeland Security Roundtable, in conjunction with the U.S. Coast Guard, is proud to announce the launch of the Coast Guard Industry Academy 2017.  The Coast Guard Industry Academy is an engaging, in-depth, one year program designed to strengthen Industry collaboration and knowledge of the U.S. Coast Guard's missions.  It will consist of quarterly sessions.

This Inaugural Class is reserved for 50 Senior Industry Executives at the level of VP (or commensurate title) and above.  The goal is to start the program with Executives with broad organizational authority and responsibility, who can share comprehensive Industry knowledge, and be able to share Coast Guard knowledge back across their organization.  The one year program is organized such that USCG knowledge and understanding is built with each successive quarterly session, so in that spirit, the Executive is making a commitment for the entirety of the program.
Each session, from USCG HQ to the visits at various Sectors and USCG Academy, will be focused on the USCG Strategic Priorities for FY18:
 1. Combating Transnational Organized Crime and Securing our Maritime Border
 2. Preserving Sovereignty and Expanding Access and Presence in the Polar Regions
 3. Protecting Critical Infrastructure from all-domain Threats, including Cyber
 4. Facilitating Maritime Commerce
 5. Building the 21st Century Coast Guard
