CONGRATULATIONS KEVIN '72!
Springfield native Kevin Collins was a three-year letterwinner as a member of the men’s ice hockey team before embarking on a career in professional hockey officiating. He started in 61 games while at AIC, totaling 21 goals and 46 assists for 67 points, and was the team’s second-leading scorer in 1970-71 with 34 points.
Collins called the puck in more than 2,000 regular league games and 10 Stanley Cup finals, the 1998 Olympics in Nagano, Japan; two NHL All-Star Games, the World Cup of Hockey and the Canada Cup.
Collins' 32 games on the lines at the Stanley Cup Finals puts him second of all time in finals games officiated, behind only William "Bill" Chadwick -- the only official to beat Collins into the Hall of Fame.

AIC Yellow Jackets men's ice hockey alumni are invited to the annual alumni game and reception on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Mass Mutual Center.

11:30 a.m.: Arrival and check-in at Mass Mutual Center
12:00 p.m.: Alumni hockey game
2:00 p.m.: Post game lunch at Red Rose
6:00 p.m.: Perch Pre-Game Reception at Mass Mutual Center
6:45 p.m.: Ceremony on the ice honoring Kevin Collins, ’72, for his induction into the U.S Hockey Hall of Fame
7:00 p.m.: AIC Yellow Jackets vs. ARMY
9:30 p.m.: Post game reception at the Break Away Lounge in the Mass Mutual Center. Parents, Alum, Friends of AIC & AIC Hockey. Food and beverage provided by AIC Alumni Hockey with some brief comments from Bill Teggart, Athletic Director Matt Johnson, Coach Eric Lang.
