November 11, 2017 ~ December 9, 2017 ~ January 6, 2018

We are pleased to announce the Fall 2017 Outdoor Classroom Project Specialist Level I Training Series in Orange County California.  This inspiring and educational training series will provide early childhood professionals a unique opportunity to acquire enhanced skills for cultivating and sustaining the Outdoor Classroom at their centers. The Specialist Level I Training consists of three full day workshops on Saturdays at St. Paul's Episcopal Chuch Preshool in Tustin. As part of the training experience, participants will have the opportunity to explore the grounds and see the application of Outdoor Classroom philosophy in the play yard design of this Outdoor Classroom Project® Demonstation Site Center.

Initiated in 2003 by the Child Educational Center, Caltech/JPL Community in Southern California with a grant from First 5 L.A., the Outdoor Classroom Project has worked with hundreds of centers and thousands of teachers. Currently there are over sixty Outdoor Classroom Project Demonstration and Recognized centers in Southern California and two Demonstration Sites in Northern California.  Formal networks currently operate in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo counties with centers in Los Angeles, Marin, Orange, Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Riverside, and Ventura counties. For more information, please visit our website outdoorclassroomproject.org.
