Description:
Using Theoretical Frameworks: Attachment, trauma and integrative play therapy, this workshop offers a dyadic framework for understanding underlying issues inherent in treating foster care children and teens with broken attachments and complex trauma histories. Participants will be able to learn a variety of techniques through experiential, hands-on exposure that can be applied immediately. Additional techniques will be shown that help deal with problems with affect expression, regulation, and grief and loss. Finally, a variety of treatment approaches and dyadic methods will be shared for working with the foster parent.
