Youth Service Fund

During Fall Workshop, there will be a YSF store where youth can purchase hot hands, hot chocolate, snacks, swag for the glow party, and fair-trade jewelry from India.  There will also be auctions where youth and counselors can bid on fake mustaches, bubbles, and rare Fall Workshop memorabilia and more!  All of the money raised from the store and auctions goes to the Youth Service Fund (YSF) which is the global United Methodist mission fund supported by youth.  Through YSF, United Methodist teens raise money for other teens doing ministry in their churches, communities, and the world.  Thirty percent of the money raised goes back to the global church’s YSF account to help on a global level and 70% stays here in the West Virginia Annual Conference to help youth serve locally and globally.  In 2017 alone YSF has given out $4,900 in support of youth serving in Kenya, Cuba, and South Africa.

For more information about YSF, or to apply for assistance from YSF, please contact Max McGinnis, YSF chair or Shea James, Director of Youth and Outdoor Ministries

Saturday night of Fall Workshop is a time for fun and shenanigans.

You can play games, cook smores around the campfire, or go to the assembly hall for our first every LIGHT THE WAY party!  Saturday night we’ll paint fall workshop t-shirts with glow in the dark paint and have a crazy fun time!  Glow sticks, light up tiaras, and other glow objects will be for sale at the YSF Store so be sure to bring some cash (items available from fifty cents to five dollars) and support Youth Service Fund!

We’re going to LIGHT THE WAY at Fall Workshop!
