Domestic violence is at an epidemic level in this country as one in four women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime. In 99% of all cases of domestic violence, there is an invisible weapon keeping victims trapped in abusive relationships: financial abuse.

Throughout Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October, Allstate agents will help bring out the good in our communities and help survivors of domestic violence and their families by hosting a community supplies drive to benefit  YWCA Silicon Valley's emergency shelter and support services program.

YWCA Silicon Valley’s Support Services empowers our diverse community to live free from domestic violence through the provision of safety, support services and self-empowerment. YWCA Silicon Valley provides one door to many solutions – serving over 10,000 people impacted by violence each year through an interconnected continuum of quality services and programs including: 24 hour crisis support line, clinical therapy and counseling, emergency shelter, rapid rehousing, confidential survivor advocacy, case management, and legal support.

Our community Allstate agents volunteer their time and support the charitable programs of The Allstate Foundation, a nonprofit funded by Allstate Insurance Company. Allstate Foundation Purple Purse is the longest-running national campaign focused on ending domestic violence through a proven solution: financial empowerment services for survivors. For more information about The Allstate Foundation, visit AllstateFoundation.org.

Please join us in empowering survivors of domestic violence. To support this drive, please review the list and bring items to one of the drop-off locations.
