Various internal obstacles, including perceived differences in acceptability or hierarchy, communication and work ethic divide between staff from different generations, or competing interests and methodologies with A/E/C professionals and their clients, can impede the efforts of team members who need to work together effectively to achieve their best result. We all preach the "win-win" inside and outside of our home team, but if we experience islands, power-plays, or blame game attitudes, our productivity level and end result can be greatly diminished.
Are there truly such profound differences or just perceptions and a variety of approaches that can alter our views? If so, how can we navigate towards a more cohesive environment that encourages shared participation and responsibility for greater outcomes?
