Join Teepa Snow and the PAC Mentors for this one-day, 7-hour intensive course and begin to master the art of responding, not reacting!
If you provide support to a person living with dementia and want to develop your interaction skills to make a positive difference in both of your lives, come to this PAC Skills Campion day in Napa. During this day, you will work with Teepa and her team of accomplished PAC Mentors to develop your ability to deliver:
What is unique and special about this course is that you will receive direct support and feedback on your skill development during the day, and, if you so choose, receive one-on-one follow up rehearsal and mentoring on-line. These both to help ensure that the skills actually become part of your skill tool box, and that you have successfully taken the first step in becoming a PAC Skills Champion.

Recommended for: Acute care providers, nursing shaff and supervisors, therapists, hands-on care partners, CNAs, family care partners, and anyone looking to improve how they approach, connect, and care PARTNER with those living with dementia.
This course fulfills the prerequisite skill building to join a PAC Acute Care Preceptor course.
Continuing Education credit for this program is awarded by Commonwealth Educational Seminars (CES) for the following professions:
Nurses: As an American Psychological Association approved provider CES programs are accepted by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Every state Board of Nursing accepts ANCC approved programs except California and Iowa, however CES is also an approved Continuing Education provider by the California Board of Registered Nursing, (Provider Number CEP15567) which is also accepted by the Iowa Board of Nursing. Nurses completing this program receive 5.5 CE hours of credit.
Social Workers: CES, provider #1117, is approved as a Provider for Social Work Continuing Education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) www.aswb.org, through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. CES maintains responsibility for the program. ASWB Approval Period: 10/5/15 through 10/5/18. Social Workers should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval. Social Workers participating in this course will receive 5.5 clinical continuing education clock hours.
