Celebrate our capital city and our future!

2017 Community & Justice Gala
Since 1952, the mission of Rhode Island for Community & Justice
has been to fight bias, bigotry and racism by building understanding
and respect between all races, cultures and religions.
Today, this mission is more important than ever. 

RICJ's annual Gala celebrates our dynamic, diverse, divine Providence and honors key leaders building Providence's promising future.   

Celebrate Dan Baudouin, a leader who over 24 years helped create the city we treasure today.  Rivers moved, streets cleaned, historic buildings renovated and reactivated, highways shifted and much more... through Dan's leadership as its recently retired executive director, The Providence Foundation has played a key role in transforming Downtown Providence.   

Celebrate 20 community volunteers on the new Providence and Central Falls Juvenile Hearing Boards who are creating brighter futures for our children.  In this unique intervention, city-appointed volunteers provide resources, referrals and guidance to keep children and communities safe. They are our guests: come and thank these dedicated community members.

Celebrate with Youth Leaders -- our future. RICJ Youth Action Council members and alumni will emcee the Gala.  Celebrate with a Providence-themed Luncheon Buffet, a feast of local culinary choices, in a beautifully renovated historic landmark, the Providence Biltmore. Tickets $75. 

Who?  YOU are invited to celebrate with RICJ!

What?  The Gala is RICJ's annual fundraising event.  Celebrate while supporting our mission of fighting bias, bigotry and racism by promoting understanding and building inclusive communities.  

When?  Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM

Where?  The historic Providence Biltmore, 11 Dorrance Street, Providence

Why?  We love our beautiful city - diverse, dynamic, divine Providence.  Celebrate leaders helping to build its promising future.  Support the youth, policy and education programs of RICJ.
