10-24-17 LI Cadre

Description: 

All participants of this cadre must apply with an application through their Director of Special Education.

This cadre is designed for teachers with 0 – 4 years of experience of working with students with Low Incidence disabilities.    The cadre will cover; data collection, behavior management, inclusion, Alternate Assessment, Assistive Technology, Para-educators, working with parents, transition, scheduling, Literacy, Math and Science strategies, and more.  Participants will be required to cover online modules, complete minimal amount of work outside of cadre dates, and participate in SKYPE observations and video conferencing.  All participants are required to attend all 6 meetings.  Districts will be asked to purchase research based math, science, and reading programs to be used in the classroom.  Participants will receive materials and 1 on-site visit from cadre lead.  Participants and administrators are asked to meet at least twice a semester/term to discuss participation in the Cadre.

GUESTS/UNREGISTERED POLICY

At CKSEC, we love kids and families! Unfortunately, due to liability issues and professional decorum, children and other family members or friends are not permitted to attend our trainings.

Please get permission from CKEC prior to video or audio recording a portion or all of a CKEC session. 

Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.

Attendance Policy:

If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.

Districts will be notified of those who registered and did not attend or did not cancel prior to be session.
