Buying and Selling a Business

October 5th - Linn Area Credit Union

There are several ways to join the world of Entrepreneurship.  Start-up a new business, buy into a franchise, inherit one from family members or buy an existing business.

In this workshop we explore buying and selling an existing business. What questions should you be asking the seller?  How do you evaluate the asking price, project future sales and profits, keep the seller from competing? What valuation method to use?  What changes in your thinking when it is time to sell your business?

Workshop summary:  SCORE presents a new workshop on business ownership, taking over an existing business, and eventually selling that business. businessman_opening_door.jpg
