From Parish to La Gente:                   Sr. Maura Clarke’s Journey into Communion

Drawing on her recent book, A Radical Faith, Eileen Markey shares the story of Sister Maura Clarke, one of four American churchwomen killed by members of the El Salvador National Guard in December 1980. Markey will discuss Sister Maura’s Catholic upbringing in Brooklyn and the experiences that drew her to missionary work and communion with the poor and vulnerable in Latin America.

Eileen Markey is an investigative journalist whose work has appeared in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, National Catholic Reporter, and America. She is graduate of Fordham University and Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.

Copies of A Radical Faith will be available at a discount price.
