Watercolor: Specimens & Shadowbox

In this class will be sketching and painting 4 bugs of your choosing! At the end, you will have the option to mount your paintings in a 3-d shadowbox with specimen pins and label them accordingly. Painting bugs was never so exciting, and you will be suprisingly happy with the outcome!

Please note the shadowbox is a completely optional item in class. You may opt to purchase one on your own, or pick one up on the day of class.

Watercup

Watercolor Brushes - Sizes 0 to 6 are best for this lesson. We are doing a great deal of detail work, so the smaller brushes will be very helpful. If you have it, the silver brush round 6 is perfect!

Watercolor Paints (pencils not suggested)

Heat Tool

Washi Tape or Painters Tape (blue) or Artist Tape

Watercolor Tote Board - if you have one

Molotov Pen (resist pen)

Stylus or Embossing tool - if you have one

Scissors

Micron Pen 01 in black or brown
