Trusted Learning Environment Workshop 2017

Technology is a critical part of the 21st century classroom, and data is vital to efforts to provide a more personalized education for all students.

Research shows that a large majority of parents are concerned about the privacy and security of student data.

Schools must have concrete policies and practices in place to provide appropriate protections for student data, and they need to communicate those practices clearly to parents in order to earn their trust.

The TLE Seal Program indicates that school systems have demonstrated adherence to a set of publicly available standards focused on the protection of student data privacy.

In order to get the most out of the workshop, bring a collaborative cohort to develop a strong district team.

Session Information:

As schools leverage technology for learning, they must also ensure that they have safeguards in place to protect the privacy and security of student data. Learn the fundamentals of student data privacy, regulatory requirements and how to develop or improve on your policies and practices governing protection of student data.  Become part of the first Connecticut district cohort to work collaborativly to complete the TLE program!  Support for participating districts will be provided throughtout the process.  Cohort details will be provided during the event.
