Family Child Providers Working Toward QRIS Level 4

 

November 9th: Session 1- Overview of Level 4 QRIS 

 This first session is designed for those who have alreadysubmitted for Level 2, but have not yet submitted for Level 3.The session will help you to look at your Level 2 scores and your CQIP and examine the differences between Level 2 and Level 3.  The group will discusstheir Level 2 challenges and how to get the most from the QRIS process.

December 7th: Session 2 -    Understanding the Individual Standards and Required Professional Development: 

 This session will examine the standards, including how to read them and where to go for more detail about how they are measured.  It will also examine the professional development and qualifications needed for Level 3 as well as how to find and register for needed trainings and document them in the Professional Qualifications Registry.

February 15th  Session 3 – Overview of the Program Assessment tools: 

This session will provide a review of the FCCERS, BAS and Strengthening Families Self-Assessment and your Level 2 CQIP..  Each tool will be reviewed and educators will have an opportunity to review their improvement plans andset at a timeline for completion.

March 15th : Session 4 – Supporting Documentation:

 This session will focus attention on updated scores on the measurement tools as well as documents required to submit for Level 3.   Participants will discuss each document and complete a draft of at least one document.  Educators will share examples of how they incorporated their Level 3documents into their Program Handbook.   

April 26th: Session 5 – Identifying Strengths and Program Improvements:

 This session will examine the “hot spots” of the FCCERS and the resources that are available on line to help with improvements.  It will also explore in depth the ARNETT Caregiver Interactions Scale, a measurement tool introduced at Level 4.

May 24 –Session 6 – Submitting Your Application

 This final session will focus on Program Manager.  Participants will have the opportunity to enter information into their Program Manager and update their timelines to determine what is still needed before submitting.  Discussion will be included on the visit by a reliable rater and the possibility that it may take up to a year to make changes and be approved at Level 4.
