Our first recipient is Brigadier General (retired) Bill Richard
Bill has had an impressive impact on many community organizations in Kingston and area. During his term as Base Commander, he was able to unite the military and the local community. Later, he joined the City Strategic Planning group, Focus Kingston; the KGH Board; and became Chair of Imagine Kingston. Bill is passionate about the health of veterans, soldiers, and their families and was the co-founder of the Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research at Queen’s University.

Liz Weaver is the Co-CEO of Tamarack Learning Centre. She is well-known for her thought leadership on collective impact and is the author of several popular and academic papers on the topic. Liz is passionate about the power and potential of communities getting to impact on complex issues.
