CSBG Organizational Standards 4.1, 4.3, 6.5
Cost: $25 per agency for unlimited use
Target Audience: CAA board members, senior staff

"If board and staff are committed to its implementation, a strategic plan can provide an
invaluable blueprint for growth and revitalization, enabling an organization to take stock of where it is, determine where it wants to go and chart a course to get there." (TCC Group)

Starting in August of 2016, CAAs in Massachusetts have begun developing their Community Needs Assessment Reports and Strategic Plans. Boards of Directors play an integral role in the strategic planning process. This pre-recorded presentation is two half-hour segments that provide information about the CSBG requirements of Boards in the strategic planning process with examples of best practices from CAAs and other nonprofit organizations. This presentation is intended for Board members and CAA senior staff and can be used at Board meetings as a training activity.
