A SCORE Seminar

Essentials of Business Succession Planning

The statistics on businesses surviving through multiple generations are staggering. Just making it through the second generation is a milestone event for a business. Making it through the third generation is rare and making it to the fourth generation is almost unheard of. The good news is business owners can buck these trends with proper planning. This workshop begins by helping entrepreneurs understand the steps to planning for the eventual transfer of the business. This includes knowing the value of the business, choosing and preparing the appropriate successor, and having it all in writing. At the end of this section, clients should be prepared for a variety of business exit strategies – both voluntary and involuntary.

The presenter will be David Farrell, an active member and immediate past officer of the SCORE Vancouver chapter.

This workshop is being offered to the Vancouver Business Community through a grant from national SCORE partner, Mass Mutual.  The non-refundable reservation fee for this 2 hour program is only $5.  Seating is limited so please register early.  A copy of all presentation slides and other course materials will be emailed to registrants shortly prior to the seminar.  As always, seminar registrants will be encouraged to take advantage of SCORE's free business mentoring services at any time following the workshop.
