Session Descriptions

MY HUMILITY IN MARRIAGE
Proverbs 11:2 says with the humble is wisdom. Wisdom is power to know and choose what is best in every situation. Why do we have conflict in marriage? Because we lack the humility of wisdom. It takes two to fight. Come learn how to avoid fighting by remembering who is in charge and what He is doing, as you humble yourself to Him and His clear instructions.

MY HEART IN MARRIAGE
Every spouse, no matter how "good," needs changes in how they handle relational problems - changes in how they act, think, and desire. But depending on how "bad" our spouse is being, we may not want always to see this. When you go blind to your own need for growth, you will regress. Learn a process of change that utilizes biblical meditation that has led to the transformation of many spouses and, eventually, their marriage.

MY MOUTH IN MARRIAGE
If you are going to spiritually influence a good relationship with anyone, you must learn to put off speech that hinders, and put on speech that helps. You must learn to listen humbly, keep current, speak truth in love, and edify instead of attack. Communication is the lifeblood of all relationships. God has given us particular instruction and motivations for communication, modeled after how He speaks. The five rules that this session will look at comes directly from Ephesians 4.

MY ROLE IN MARRIAGE
God gave husbands and wives different roles in marriage that uniquely glorify Christ. At those times our spouse is not who they are called to be, it is easy to think that we don't have to be who we are called to be. But in this session, you will learn to fight such a man-centered perspective and think bigger. You will learn how to practically pursue the biblical traits of a godly husband and wife for God's glory and your future fullness of joy.
