TechShop Innovation - Teaching 21st Century Skills

Mike Hill, TechShop manager, will lead SOS members and friends on a tour of TechShop St. Louis workshop and prototyping studio, an innovative space packed with cutting-edge tools, equipment, and computers loaded with design software.

Join us as we learn more about TechShop and their work to provide kids from all different backgrounds the opportunity to benefit from their tools and education. Like many of us here at SOS, they believe that when kids learn how to use basic tools and create fun projects that are open-ended, creativity, initiative, and enthusiasm naturally follow.

During our visit, Ralph Quatrano, PhD, will discuss the Cortex Innovation Community. We'll also enjoy appetizers from Vicia, the sleek new eatery in Cortex.

Parking: After 4 p.m., the Cortex parking lot on Boyle Avenue across from the TechShop entrance offers free parking.
