The Leadership Paradox:
It's Not Them, It's You

WNG Women's Leadership Forum

Wednesday, November 15, 2017
4:00 PM - 6:15 PM

Please join the Washington Network Group when we convene our next Women's Leadership Forum with Connie K. N. Chang for an interactive session on "The Leadership Paradox: It's Not Them, It's You." We often forget that leadership starts with ourselves first. Come learn how to make changes in your life to become a more effective leader.

Connie K. N. Chang

About this Event:

This interactive session will get you thinking differently about leadership. It will give you insight into what is blocking you from creating your best life. You will identify where your courage resides. You will set an intention for personal change. And when you commit to your personal leadership journey, you will become a more enlightened leader. You might even find other women at the session who want to work on creating the lives they wish to lead with others doing the same.

Have you noticed the level of attention paid to how we ought to lead people, projects, business units, agencies, companies, and even our families where our eyes are seeing out and our minds are on how we can move others?

We often forget that leadership starts with ourselves first.

Leadership is not a position and it is not static. Leadership is a journey.

By cultivating self-awareness, conjuring up courage, and setting an intention for change, we can embark on our own personal leadership journey to create the life we wish to lead.

If you have a nagging sense that you aren't living up to your own potential - even if everyone around you says otherwise - then this session is for you. If you know deep inside that there is a must do that you haven't yet carved out time for, thought through how to, or even admitted to yourself its importance, then this session is for you. When all is quiet what keeps you up at night?

When we take action to change our lives to be in closer alignment with who we wish to be, we become more effective leaders elsewhere - the kind that others wish to follow. We will find ourselves more equipped to lead others on a project, in a startup, through a strategic change, or to fulfill an important government agency mission.

Our personal leadership journey does not have to be a solo trip. There is power in numbers. Finding your tribe to embark on personal change so that your leadership sparkles is what this interactive session aims to ignite.

This session will be introduced by Silvia Dumitrescu, WLF Chair & WNG Board member.
