Dear Prospective Players,
We are working hard to get ready for the 2018 season. After two very successful seasons in 2016 and 2017,we plan to organize and operate a summer collegiate wood bat league starting on June 9, 2018 that accommodates college baseball players who are staying on campus or living at home during summer and who are within a two-hour drive of the Richmond area.
Candidates for the League:
Players staying on campus this summer to catch up or get ahead on classes.
Players staying on campus to weight train several days a week to get stronger before next season.
Players completing degree requirements such as internships.
Players working part-time to pay for school.
Multi-sport college athletes like football players who want at-bats, fielding chances or mound time.
Two way players who want at-bats, fielding chances or mound time.
Rising college freshman committed to play D1 college baseball.
Our better idea in scheduling makes it convenient for players to live at home or stay on campus and go to summer school, train for strength, or work and play summer ball without the daily grind demanded by traditional summer leagues.
We look forward to hearing from you and welcome your feedback. Count on the Piedmont League to give you a positive and productive experience of summer collegiate baseball.
