Learning for a Sustainable Future 

Exploring Land-Based and Experiential Learning Strategies for Young Learners

Learning for a Sustainable Future and Natural Curiosity are partnering with Kenjgewin Teg Education Institute to facilitate this 2 -day PD experience.

Throughout the two days, we will walk the talk and model inquiry methodology.

Who should attend?
  • ECEs, Kindergarten & Grade 1 teachers and administrators responsible for learning of 2- to 7-year-old children who wish to explore holistic learning strategies in and outside the classroom
Outcomes—through their participation, educators will:
  • Receive copies of LSF's Connecting the Dots (www.lsf-lst.ca/dots),  Natural Curiosity (www.naturalcuriosity.ca/) and Indigenous Knowledge and Connection to the Land by Isaac Day-Murdoch
  • The institute will apply professional inquiry methods where, as co-learning, we identify out questions and then work together to build our knowledge based on the experiences of those present
  • We will incorporate Anishinabek worldview and knowledge into the workings of this professional gathering, seeking how they align with holistic learning strategies
  • Note to attendees:Dress appropriately for the weather and bring outdoor wear, as we will be linking to outdoor learning opportunities!

Cost: $150 CAD (HST Breakfast, lunch, refreshments, and 3 publications included)
