Wine & Food Pairing

from 1PM-2:30PM

Relive 19th Century Loudoun County history!   Hiddencroft is offering tours of the period buildings on our 19th century farmstead.  The tour begins at 1PM and is limited to 12 guests.  Tickets are $20/person.  Advance tickets sales are required.

Here is the itinerary:

• Check in at our farmhouse tasting room at about 12:45PM.  You will receive a map of the tour and your complimentary, embossed stemless tasting glass to take on the tour and then home with you.
• At 1PM, a tasting/tour guide will accompany you to our Springhouse where you will taste white wine and cheese kept chilled by our fresh flowing spring.
• The next stop is the Summer Kitchen, another circa 1850s log structure where customers will taste wines paired with soup that was prepared in an iron cauldron hanging over the open fireplace.
• The third stop is the Smokehouse where you will enjoy red wines paired with sausages hanging from blacksmith forged nails driven into hand-hewn log beams.
• The tour ends at our farmhouse tasting room with samples of fruit wines and port wines accompanied by a rich dessert.

When the tour is complete, you can spend additional time with us if you choose...weather permitting, our firepit will be in operation!
